Our story
It started with one welder and a promise to his family
In 2012, Mzimkulu Gabriel Twala started Twala Steel Head in Sebokeng with his welding skills, a few tools and one clear reason to work hard: his family. Every early job, from a single burglar bar to a neighbour's driveway gate, was done to put food on the table and build a better future at home.
Customers noticed the care in the work. Word spread from street to street, and one strong gate led to the next job. Over 14 years the business has grown into welding, fabrication and roofing for homes, businesses and building sites across the Vaal Triangle and Johannesburg, from a single walk-through gate to a full row of covered parking bays.
The reason has never changed. Mzimkulu still builds every job for his family, and he builds it to last, because one day this business will be theirs.

Mzimkulu Gabriel Twala
Founder, owner and head of the family. Mzimkulu started Twala Steel Head in 2012 and is still involved in every job, from the first site visit to the final check. He is building the business to leave as a legacy to his family.
